Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be leaving for Meghalaya on Saturday for two days. During his visit, he will be accompanied by Minister of Science and Technology and Space Jitendra Singh and Minister for Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy. Earlier, this visit was to be held on 17th July but it was postponed due to COVID-19 situation. The Home Minister will hold a meeting with all the CMs, Chief Secretaries and Director Generals of Police of the North Eastern states. He is also likely to take stock of the law and order situation in the area. He will be inaugurating a cryogenic plant in Shillong and visit the Assam Rifles headquarters during his visit.
