Cricketer Manoj Tiwary joins TMC ahead of WB Assembly polls

Ahead of the state assembly elections in West Bengal, former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary today joined the ruling party Trinamool Congress (TMC). After joining the party, he appealed the people to support him in the new journey. Born in West Bengal’s Howrah, the 35-year old cricketer made his debut in the Indian cricket team in 2008 and played his last ODI for Team India in July 2015. He played 12 ODIs, three T20 matches for India and scored a total of 287 runs in ODIs. Manoj Tiwary has also played domestic cricket for Bengal in addition to IPL in teams like Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab and Rising Pune Supergiants.
