Congress to hold nationwide symbolic protest against rising in fuel prices

Congress party will hold a nationwide symbolic protest in front of petrol pumps across the country on June 11 against the hike in fuel prices. In many states, the price of petrol has crossed Rs 100 per liter. Many Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, have been attacking the government on social media for a long time over the rising prices of petroleum products. Now, the Congress party has announced to hold the symbolic protest against it in view of COVID-19 situation. The effect of increase in the price of petrol and diesel falls on the country’s economy. Therefore, Congress has urged that immediate steps should be taken by the central government to reduce the price of petroleum products.
