Maharashtra: Lockdown extended till July 31 in view of increasing COVID-19 cases

Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra are increasing day by day, due to which the Maharashtra government has decided to extend the lockdown until 31 July. On Sunday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had said that the lockdown restrictions would continue even after June 30. He further said that there is still a threat of coronavirus in the state. At the same time, efforts will be started gradually to bring economic activities back on track in the state. Currently, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Maharashtra has reached 1,64,626 with a death toll of 7,429.
