Indian Army has inducted 12 indigenously developed Short Span Bridging Systems today. The indigenous bridging system will be used for operations on the western borders with Pakistan. This short span bridging system will prove to be helpful to the army from geographical constraints like small rivers and canals. DRDO Chief Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy and Army Chief MM Naravane were also present during the induction ceremony. Currently, its trial is underway in Kolar. The Army Chief said that this short span bridge is completely ‘Made in India’. It is manufactured by L&T and designed by DRDO.
