Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said in a press briefing today that 43,263 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in the country within the last 24 hours, out of which more than 32,000 cases are from the state of Kerala. About 68% of the total new cases of COVID-19 that came last week were reported from Kerala. He said that the second wave of coronavirus is not over yet. At present, more than 100 cases are being reported every day in 38 districts in the country. Kerala and Maharashtra account for 61% of the total active cases in the country. Whereas Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have more than 10,000 and less than 50,000 active cases.
