The Union Cabinet will meet today amid speculations of a possible cabinet expansion of the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The long-running debate has intensified after several meetings between PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda in the national capital. According to sources, JP Nadda has been visiting the PM’s residence continuously for the last one month. Earlier, BJP sources had said that the party may soon induct some of its key leaders and members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the union cabinet. There is also speculations of inducting former Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia in the cabinet.
