Times Group chairperson Indu Jain passes away

Times Group Chairperson Indu Jain passed away at the age of 84 on Thursday. She breathed her last in Delhi. Times Group’s news channel ‘Times Now’ on Twitter, remembered her as a lifelong spiritual seeker, leading philanthropist, eminent patron of arts and a staunch supporter of women’s rights. She is reported to have died due to COVID-19 complications. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Kovind and many other prominent personalities condoled her demise on Twitter. She was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the country’s third-highest civilian honor, in 2016.
