TikTok India Head: We don’t share data with the Chinese Government

On Monday, the Indian Government banned TikTok and 58 other Chinese apps from Google Play Store and Apple Store. After which, TikTok India has claimed that they do not share data with the Chinese Government. TikTok India head Nikhil Gandhi claimed that the app meets “all data privacy and security requirements under Indian law” and they have not shared any information of users in India with any foreign government, including the Chinese government. He added in a statement, “Further if we are requested to in the future, we would not do so.”
