Surat civic body to plant 70,000 saplings on PM Modi’s 70th birthday

The Surat civic body along with several associations and business groups have decided to plant over 70,000 saplings in the city on September 17. On this day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate his 70th birthday. Surat City’s deputy mayor Nirav Shah said, “We started this initiative 15 days ago. I think we will be able to plant 70,000 saplings by September 16.” He added that PM Modi always urges everyone to celebrate his birthday by doing some activity that will benefit the people.
