Study reveals, unlocking India will make it a high-risk nation

A financial advisory and securities research firm Nomura has revealed that India’s Unlock 1.0 relaxations may lead to increase in new COVID-19 infections in the country. Nomura studied 45 major economies and found that 17 countries were on track with respect to reopening economies with no sign of the second wave; 13 countries showed some tentative warning signs; and 15 countries, including India, were marked in the danger zone of being most at risk of a second wave.
