A notice has been issued by the Supreme Court to the UP and Central Government for allowing Kanwar Yatra amid pandemic. The apex court has sought replies regarding the permission given to the Kanwar Yatra. On July 16, the next hearing of the case will take place. Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand government has not given permission to the pilgrimage in view of the pandemic situation. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had said that it is important to save the lives of people, therefore, it has been decided to cancel the Kanwar Yatra for the second time in a row. Earlier, the Uttarakhand unit of IMA had also opposed the Kanwar Yatra that will start from July 25.
