Amid the ongoing assembly elections in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a review meeting today over the increasing cases of Coronavirus. Chief Ministers of the states have been invited to this review meeting. News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that CM Mamata Banerjee will not attend this review meeting. Sources said that West Bengal Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay may attend this review meeting in place of CM Banerjee. The number of active cases in the country has risen to over nine lakhs. The recovery rate in the country has come down partially to 91.67% and the rate of active cases has gone up to 7.04%, while the death rate has lowered to 1.29%.
