PM Modi promises Mozambique to provide medical support amid COVID-19

On 3rd June Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had chaired a virtual meeting with President of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi. During this meeting, PM Modi promised President Nyusi that India will provide medical assistance to the African country to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Modi tweeted, “Had an excellent talk with H.E. Filipe Nyusi, President of Mozambique on COVID-19 situation”. He added another tweet by saying “I also thanked him for taking care of the safety and security of the Indian community in Mozambique.” There are roughly 70,000 Indians residing in the east-African country.
