Prime Minister Narendra Modi deleted his posts on the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo after India banned 59 Chinese applications. In 2015, PM Narendra Modi made his debut on the Chinese Twitter-like website Weibo. According to sources, New Delhi had tried to delete PM Modi’s account but found that the Chinese social media platform had a “complex procedure” for VIP accounts. His 113 posts were removed manually from Weibo. Earlier on Monday, the Indian government had banned 59 Chinese apps including Weibo, TikTok, Shareit, UC Browser, Cam Scanner, Shein, Xiaomi Mobile Services, etc.
