Parakram Diwas: President Kovind, PM Modi and other leaders pay tribute to Subhash Chandra Bose

Today is 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the great freedom fighter and founder of Azad Hind Fauj. The central government has announced to celebrate his birth anniversary as Parakram Diwas. On this occasion, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and other leaders including Prime Minister Modi remembered and paid tribute to him. On this day in 1897, Subhash Chandra Bose was born in Cuttack (Odisha). He received higher education from the Presidency College of Calcutta and the Scottish Church College. In 1920, he secured fourth place in the Civil Services Examination in England. He became the President of the Indian National Congress in 1938 and in 1939.
