NASA lauds Indian astronomers for discovering new ‘Star Galaxy’

On Wednesday, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) congratulated Indian astronomers for discovering a new galaxy in the universe. It is one of the farthest Star galaxies located 9.3 billion light-years away from Earth. NASA’s Public Affairs Officer, Felicia Chou applauded the Indian astronomers’ discovery. The galaxy named ‘AUDFs01’ has been discovered by a team of astronomers headed by Dr Kanak Saha of the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune.
