On Friday, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an advisory for this year’s Independence Day celebration. Joint Secretary Anuj Sharma has written a letter to all States and Union Territories to follow social distancing norms and wear masks during the celebration. In these guidelines, all government offices, states, governors and other officials have been asked to refrain from organizing public functions. MHA has asked to make use of technology like video conferencing to participate in Independence Day celebration.
