ISRO to launch PSLV-C51/Amazonia 1 mission tomorrow, countdown begins

The countdown to the Indian Space Research Organization’s first space program in 2021 has begun. ISRO‘s 53rd mission PSLV-C51 / Amazonia-1 will be launched on Sunday at 1024 Hrs IST. Its countdown from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh was started at 08:54 AM today. ISRO has reported that refueling for fourth stage (PS4) of PSLV-C51 has been completed. The PSLV-C51 will carry Brazil’s Amazonia-1, a primary satellite and 18 other satellites into the space. However, the launching will depend on the prevailing weather conditions. The Amazonia-1 satellite is Brazil’s first optical earth observation satellite. It is designed to monitor changes occurring in the Amazon forests.
