India: Total COVID-19 cases reach closer to 5.9 million-mark

India registered 86,052 new cases in the last 24 hours. The number of COVID-19 cases in the country has nearly reached the 59 lakh-mark with 58,18,571 total cases, while the death toll has crossed the 91,000-mark with 92,290 deaths. A total of 47,56,165 patients have recovered so far. Currently, Maharashtra is the worst-COVID-19 affected state with a total of 12,82,963 cases, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 6,54,385, Tamil Nadu with 5,63,691 and Karnataka with 5,48,557 cases.
