India surpasses Brazil in the COVID-19 tally with 90,802 new cases

India has surpassed Brazil to become the second worst COVID-19-hit country in the world. The country recorded the biggest jump in daily cases with 90,802 new cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has crossed the 42 lakh-mark with 42,04,613 cases. While the COVID-19 death toll crossed the 70,000-mark with 71,642 deaths. Out of the total cases, 32,50,429 patients have been discharged so far. Brazil recorded 4.14 million total COVID-19 cases with 126,650 deaths.
