India reports less than 1 lakh fresh COVID-19 cases after 63 days

India has reported less than one lakh new cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, for the first time after 63 days. According to the latest data of the Ministry of Health, 86,498 new cases of COVID-19 have surfaced within a day across the country. In the last 24 hours, 2,123 patients died due to this infection in the country. The number of active cases in the country is currently 1,33,702. Within a day, 1,82,282 coronavirus patients have been cured in the country. This is the 26th consecutive day when the number of patients recovering from COVID-19 is more than the daily spike in cases. The rate of recovery has now reached 94.29% while positivity rate has come down to 5.94%.
