India: More than 6.2 lakh cases recorded with 18,213 deaths

India witnessed the biggest spike of 20,903 COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has crossed the 6.25 lakh-mark with 6,25,544 cases. The death toll in the country now stands at 18,213. Among the total cases, 2,27,439 are active and 3.79 lakh patients have recovered from the disease. Maharashtra still remains the worst-affected state in the country with 1,86,626 cases and 8,178 deaths.  Tamil Nadu has recorded 98,392 total cases so far. Delhi and Gujarat have reported 92,175  and 33,999 positive cases respectively.
