India: COVID-19 cases near 4.3 million-mark with 75,809 new cases

India has surpassed Brazil to become the second-worst COVID-19-hit country in the world. The country recorded a spike of 75,809 new cases in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 cases in the country has reached closer to the 43 lakh-mark with 42,80,442 cases. While the COVID-19 death toll has reached 72,775. Out of the total cases, 33,23,950 patients have been discharged so far. Currently, Maharashtra is the worst-COVID-19 affected state with a total of 9,23,641 cases, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 5,06,493, Tamil Nadu with 4,69,256, and Karnataka with 4,04,324 cases.
