India: COVID-19 cases cross 4.5 million-mark with 96,551 new cases

India registered the biggest spike of 96,551 new cases in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 cases in the country have crossed the 45 lakh-mark with 45,62,415 total cases, while the COVID-19 death toll has reached 76,271. Out of the total cases, 35,42,664 patients have been discharged so far. Currently, Maharashtra is the worst-COVID-19 affected state with a total of 9,90,795 cases, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 5,37,687, Tamil Nadu with 4,86,052 and Karnataka with 4,30,947 cases.
