India: COVID-19 cases cross 3.8 million-mark with 83,883 new cases

India recorded the biggest jump in daily cases with 83,883 new cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has crossed the 38 lakh-mark with 38,53,406 cases. While the COVID-19 death toll stands at 67,376. Out of the total cases, 29,70,492 patients have been discharged so far. Currently, Maharashtra is the worst-COVID-19 affected state with a total of 8,25,739 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 4,39,959, Andhra Pradesh with 4,55,531 and Karnataka with 3,61,341 cases.
