India: COVID-19 cases close to 5 million-mark with 92,076 new cases

India registered 92,076 new cases in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 cases in the country have nearly reached the 50 lakh-mark with 48,46,427 total cases, while the death toll has reached 79,722. Out of the total cases, 37,80,107 patients have been discharged so far. Currently, Maharashtra is the worst-COVID-19 affected state with a total of 10,60,308 cases, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 5,67,123, Tamil Nadu with 5,02,759 and Karnataka with 459,445 cases.
