India: COVID-19 case tally crosses 8 lakh-mark, death count at 22,123

India witnessed the biggest spike of 27,114 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has crossed the 8 lakh-mark with 8,20,916 cases and 22,123 deaths. Till now, 5,15,386 patients have recovered from the disease. Maharashtra still remains the worst-affected state in the country with 2,38,461 cases and 9,893 deaths. Tamil Nadu has recorded 1,30,261 total cases so far. While Delhi and Gujarat have reported 1,09,140 and 40,229 positive cases respectively.
