The Indian Medical Association (IMA) informed that 594 doctors have died in the country so far in the second wave of coronavirus, out of which 107 deaths have occurred in Delhi. IMA has released state-wise data, showing the number of doctors who have lost their lives in the fight against COVID-19. According to the data, almost every other doctor who died in the second wave was of Delhi, Bihar or Uttar Pradesh. These three states account for about 45% deaths of the doctors in the country. The IMA said that since the beginning of the pandemic last year, more than 1300 doctors have lost their lives.
