The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has reported that 270 doctors have died due to infection in the second wave of the COVID-19. The list also includes the name of Dr. KK Aggarwal, former president of IMA, who died of infection on Monday. According to latest figures, 78 doctors have died in Bihar while 37 doctors lost their lives in Uttar Pradesh. In the national capital Delhi, 29 doctors succumbed to the infection whereas 22 doctors died in Andhra Pradesh. According to IMA, 748 doctors had died of infection in the first wave of the pandemic. Thus, so far 1018 doctors have died in the country due to coronavirus infection.
