Health Ministry revises policy, COVID-19 report not required for hospitalization anymore

Amidst the severe second wave of Coronavirus in the country, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday made several important changes regarding the treatment of COVID-19 patients. According to revised policy, COVID-19 reports of patients will not be required anymore for the admission of patients in the hospital. Earlier, a COVID positive report or CT-scan report was required to get admission in hospitals. The Health Ministry said that no patient can be denied service including oxygen or essential medicines by the hospitals or COVID care facilities, even if the patient is from another city.
