Health Ministry Secretary Lav Agarwal informed in a press conference on Friday that on May 7, 4,14,000 COVID-19 cases were registered in the country on a daily basis, whereas, in the last 24 hours, the figure has come down to 91,702 cases. He said that on May 3, the recovery rate of COVID-19 infection in the country was 81.8%, but it has now increased to 94.9%. In the last 24 hours, 1,34,580 coronavirus patients have recovered. In India, 24.61 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far. Regarding the detection of antibodies in people, Dr VK Paul, NITI Aayog member said that preparations have been made for the National sero-survey. ICMR will start work for the next sero-survey this month.
