Great Radio Astronomer Govind Swaroop passes away at 91

Renowned scientist and Radio Astronomer Govind Swarup died at the age of 91 on Monday night. Govind Swarup breathed his last in a private hospital in Pune, Maharashtra. This information has been given by the National Radio Astrophysics Center at Tata Institute. Govind was also known as the father of Indian Radio Astronomy. He had established the Metrewave Radio Telescope, one of the largest telescopes in the world near Pune.
