Government of India has approved the upgrade of 780 km roads under the Green National Highways Corridor Project (GNHCP). This project has been approved for four states like Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has given the approval to investments worth Rs 7,660 crore which includes a loan component of Rs 3,500 crore by the World Bank.
