COVID-19: India records 1 lakh recoveries, tally crosses 5.5 million-mark

India registered 75,083 new cases in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 cases in the country have crossed the 55 lakh-mark with 55,62,663 total cases, while the death toll has reached 88,935. On Monday and Tuesday, 101,468 recoveries were recorded with a total of 43,96,399 patients so far. Currently, Maharashtra is the worst-COVID-19 affected state with a total of 12,24,380 cases, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 6,31,749, Tamil Nadu with 5,47,337 and Karnataka with 5,26,876 cases.
