COVID-19 in India: Less than 1 lakh new cases registered for the fourth consecutive day

COVID-19 infection rate is continuously declining in the country. Today, for the fourth consecutive day, less than one lakh new cases have been reported. According to Health Ministry, 91,702 new cases of infection and deaths of 3,403 people have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. Currently, the positivity rate of COVID-19 in the country is 4.49%. In the last 24 hours, 1,34,580 people have been cured of the disease, which has taken the number of total recoveries to 2,77,90,073. The coronavirus recovery rate has increased to 94.93% while the mortality rate stands at 1.24%. Total cases in the country has so far reached 2,92,74,823, whereas a total of 3,63,079 people have lost their lives.
