Centre seeks details of Patanjali’s newly launched COVID-19 drugs

On Tuesday, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali launched Coronil and Swasari as the COVID-19 medicine kit. Following this, the Central Government has now sought the details of the medicine’s composition and research study from Patanjali. The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) has ordered Patanjali to stop advertising the medicines as the COVID-19 drugs, until it gets verified. The ministry has asked the company to submit all details including the COVID drug’s sample size, compositions, sites and hospitals of research study, and the Institutional Ethics Committee Clearance.
