Centre extends the COVID-19 guidelines till August 31

The Central government has further extended the guidelines related to the coronavirus pandemic till August 31. Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has directed all the States and Union Territories to focus on the strategy of Test, Track, Treat, Vaccine and COVID appropriate behavior for effective management of the pandemic. He also said that in view of the upcoming festivals, it is necessary to ensure compliance with the rules of prevention from COVID-19 at all crowded places. He said that with the decline in the number of active cases, economic and other activities are starting to resume in a phased manner. However, the decision to allow relaxations in restrictions should be taken very carefully.
