The third wave of coronavirus may hit India in the next 6-8 weeks. AIIMS chief Dr Randeep Guleria has expressed this apprehension and said that the third wave is “inevitable”. Recently, an Experts Committee constituted by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray informed that the third wave may arrive in Maharashtra before the speculated time. Experts had said that crowds have been seen in many parts of the state after lockdown relaxations were announced. They have warned that at the peak of the third wave, there could be eight lakh active cases in the state. Whereas, a Reuters survey had indicated that the third wave can hit the country by October.
