4,205 patients succumbed to COVID-19 in last 24 hours in India

According to the data of Union Health Ministry released on Wednesday morning, the number of new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours is higher than yesterday, while the number of deaths during this period has broken the previous grim records. In the last 24 hours, 3,48,421 new positive cases were identified and 4,205 people died while 3,56,082 people recovered from the infection. India’s COVID-19 caseload has risen to 2,33,40,938 and the death toll has reached 2,54,197. The country’s most infected state, Maharashtra, recorded 40,956 new COVID-19 cases and 793 deaths in the last 24 hours.
