Maharashtra Board Exams postponed due to increasing cases of COVID-19

Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said on Monday that in view of the COVID-19 situation, the state board examination for class 10th and 12th have been postponed. Now, the exams for class 12th will be held by the end of May, while the exams of 10th will be held in June. The state Education Minister said that the decision to postpone the HSC and SSC exams has been taken after consultation with education stakeholders, representatives of political parties and others. Maharashtra has the most number of COVID-19 cases in the country. So far, one crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the state. A total of 1,00,38,421 doses were given till noon today.
