CBSE Board partners with Microsoft to introduce coding and data science in schools

CBSE Board has started coding for classes 6 to 8 and data science for classes 8 to 12 as a new skill subject in the academic session 2021-2022. For adding these subjects in the curriculum, CBSE has partnered with tech giant Microsoft. Coding and data science courses focus on building critical thinking, computational skills, problem-solving skills, creativity and exposure to new technology. CBSE chairman Manoj Ahuja said, “This is an important step to enable self-reliance in our students and equip them with skills like problem solving, logical thinking, collaboration and design thinking that are critical for success.”
