CBSE Board Class 12th exams cancelled due to COVID-19

In today’s meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it has been decided to cancel the CBSE Board Class 12th examinations. The decision has been taken in view of uncertain conditions due to COVID-19 pandemic and feedback received from the stakeholders. The CBSE Board will evaluate the results of Class 12 students on the basis of a well-defined objective criteria. On May 31, the central government had sought time till 3rd June from the Supreme Court to take a decision on conducting the exams. Earlier, CBSE had announced the cancellation of Class 10 exams and postponement of Class 12 exams in view of the increase in coronavirus cases.
