World Ozone Day: Know why Ozone Day is celebrated?

Every year on September 16, World Ozone Day is observed. The purpose of celebrating this day is to make people aware of the importance of ozone layer. The ozone layer, found in the atmosphere between 10-50 kilometers, protects the Earth from the sun’s most harmful ultraviolet rays. This layer protects humans from many diseases along with animals, trees and plants. This year’s theme for World Ozone Day is ‘Ozone for Life’. We must protect the ozone layer for the survival of our future generations.
