World Health Organization (WHO) said that the highly transmissible Delta variant of coronavirus has triggered the fourth wave in the Middle East countries. A sharp rise in the cases of COVID-19 has been recorded in these countries in the last few days. The vaccination rate in the countries of the Middle East is also very low. The Global Health Organization said in a statement on Thursday that the delta variant of coronavirus in the WHO’s eastern Mediterranean region is causing an increase in cases and this variant is also promoting deaths from infection. The fourth wave of COVID-19 is being reported from 15 out of 22 countries in Middle East.
