The World Health Organization (WHO) on Friday approved the emergency use of China’s coronavirus vaccine made by Sinopharm. After this approval, the anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses can be distributed to the needy countries through UN-supported COVAX program. It is the non-Western country to get WHO’s backing. The WHO’s technical consulting panel has recommended the jab to be administered in two doses to people aged 18 and above. WHO had earlier authorized the use of the vaccines of Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna.
