US: Texas Republican Ron Wright dies due to COVID-19

US Congressman Ronald Jack Wright has passed away after being infected by COVID-19. He is the first sitting Congress member who has died due to this pandemic in the United States. Ron was a Republican MP from Texas. He and his wife Susan were found positive in the COVID-19 test last month. Since then, both were undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dallas. According to Reuters, 67-year-old Ron has also been battling cancer for a long time. He was first elected to the Congress in the year 2018. After this, he was placed in the Foreign Affairs, Education and Labor Committee. On January 21, when his COVID-19 test came positive, he issued a statement saying that he has mild symptoms but was feeling well.
