United States to ban flights from India from May 4

In view of the “extraordinarily high” cases of COVID-19 in India, the United States will ban flights coming from India from May 4. This information was given by the White House on Friday. White House press secretary said that the decision was taken by the US administration on the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This policy is being implemented keeping in mind the spread of cases and many variants of viruses. Earlier, Canada, Britain, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Kuwait, Oman, Hong Kong, Singapore had banned flights coming from India. Recently, the Australian Government has also decided to postpone all flights coming from India till 15 May 2021.
