British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will visit India in late April. Earlier, PM Johnson was scheduled to visit India as the chief guest on the occasion of Republic Day, but his visit was canceled after the new strain of coronavirus had surfaced in UK and cases had started to rise again in the country. It will be his first major international visit since Britain’s exit from the European Union. The UK government said that it will focus its attention towards the Indo-Pacific region as part of an integrated review of government policy for the coming years. According to the government, this region largely represents the geopolitical center of the world.
