The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has extended the suspension period of passenger flights coming from India to UAE till June 30 in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. While Bangladesh has closed the borders with India for 14 more days. However, freight movement from the border will continue. The UAE had suspended all passenger flights from India on 25 April in view of increasing cases of infections during the peak of second wave of COVID-19 in India. Emirates Airlines said in a notice issued on its website that the decision will now be effective until June 30, however UAE nationals, UAE Golden Visa holders and members of diplomatic missions will be exempt for travel.
